This section is devoted to researching, exploring and uncovering the nature and consequential effects of various natural hazard events, such as caused through tectonic and atmospheric conditions, in a social, economic, environmental and political sense.

Special emphasis is placed on appreciating the natural alterations that can result through human agency, such as artificial climate change, which affect various factors of a natural hazard, as well as its frequency and intensity.
